Training for Everest

Climbing Everest is going to be by far the toughest challenge we will ever face. We are going to need to be super fit, mentally prepared and have all the necessary skills for operating in an extreme environment.

Our training has been designed with the ultimate aim of summiting Everest. It is important that we feel confident in our ability to physically and mentally achieve the goals we have set, with enough in reserve should something go wrong. We need to develop our technical skills, physically prepare our bodies and have confidence in our mental ability to keep going when the going gets tough.

Our training will be made up of four main components:

All four work together and each are vital in ensuring the training programme is a success. This plan will take us from being relatively new to mountaineering to competent Everest summiteers.
